The world famous Blackpool Illuminations attract 3.5 million visitors every year, and this year shine from 3rd September to 7th November; with the official switch on concert attracting over 15,000 visitors alone.
Throwing the big switch at this year’s official switch on party on 3 September is the huge star Robbie Williams. With 55 million albums sales worldwide, and more Brit awards than any other artist, this huge live event is promising to be one of the biggest FREE music events of the year. With a host of performers yet to be announced, this is always one event not to be missed.
Following the big switch on, a huge VIP party is held at Blackpool Tower, and this year Funny Girls has been invited to provide the entertainment. Preparations are now well under way for a special one off performance by the Funny Girls, comprising of routines from the current show and our summer 2010 finale, with a few surprises and twists thrown in for good measure.
So when the curtain comes down at Funny Girls on Friday 3rd September, it’s a quick change, load all our costumes into a bus, and head off down the promenade for an exciting and unique performance at the wonderful Blackpool Tower ballroom.
