Despite erratic torrential downpour, the 5,000 capacity outdoor arena was sold out. This three hour spectacular commenced with a lavish feather opening routine and introduced a wide variety of acts, comedians, mime artists, dancers, lookalikes, all with one thing in common, they are perfectionists at their art.

It turned out to be a long day, still interviewing in the hotel bar at 2 in the morning.

With arrangements made for at least one of the artistes to visit Funny Girls in August, a few favourites are already standing out.
