After a court hearing on 18th January, Easterleigh was informed that all animals and propery must be removed from their current premises by 31st March. As they desperately seek to raise funds for a new sanctuary home, we intend to hold a huge charity tonight to raise much needed funds.
Tickets can be bought direct from Easterleigh, and on the night as well as spectacular cabaret, we will be having a huge raffle and auction, from some amazing prizes kindly donated by local businesses.
Our aim is to rescue and re-home unwanted, neglected and stray animals. We take in any kind of animal that is in need, from hamsters to horses. At present we are caring for over a hundred animals and there are many more waiting to come to us.
All cats and dogs in our care are spayed or neutered before they are re-homed. In the case of those that are too young to be treated before they leave us, we under-take follow-up checks to ensure that they have been spayed/neutered when old enough. We have a strict re-homing policy and we always follow up our with our animals after they have joined their new families.
No animal is ever put to sleep, unless on our vet's advice and hundreds have been re-homed.
Easterleigh is open to the public 7 days a week and we receive over 300 visitors in an average month. Donations from these visitors and local supporters are currently Easterleigh's sole form of income and allow us to do our valuable work and to contribute to our local community.
